Taleed

Taleed, which translates from Arabic to “Old and Inherited,” is a free-standing cabinet made from dyed palm tree leaves. Drawing Inspiration, our grandmothers displayed traditional face coverings in various museums across the UAE to promote women’s empowerment, preserve Emirati identity, and emphasize the importance of heritage.
Taleed is crafted to share the narrative of women’s craftsmanship and the significance of UAE culture, advocating for the preservation of our traditions while rejuvenating old materials and techniques in innovative ways, both locally and internationally.
